Privacy & telemetry
Telemetry is opt-in and off by default — nothing leaves your machine unless you turn it on in the desktop app (Privacy panel). Analytics are self-hosted; there is no third-party processor.
What we collect (only if you opt in)
- Daily/monthly active use and retention (anonymous, per-device).
- Sync errors, conflict frequency, and failed-sync rate.
- Crash and error reports.
- Feature usage by screen and action.
- Sync performance (latency, file-write times).
What we never collect
- File contents, agent prompts, conversation transcripts, or anything inside your synced data.
- Your .env files, credentials, OAuth tokens, or any authentication state.
- IP addresses (stripped) or cross-site identifiers.
You can change or revoke telemetry consent any time in the app, and request deletion of your data by emailing hello@cnfgr.app.
